The inspiration came from close observation of a seed collected from a Giant Hogweed

These earrings were originally hand carved out of wax and then cast in solid sterling silver

and the chain is very slightly larger too

The initial inspiration for this piece started from a pencil rubbing taken from the woven textures of a cane laundry basket

Perforated Pistachio Brooch red The inspiration came from closeThis Perforated pistachio coloured brooch is made from vitreous enamel fired onto a delicate piece of copper sheet. The surround is made from oxidised silver sheet, and silver rivets hold everything in place. The brooch is light weight with a two pronged brooch pin made from stainless steel, which holds the brooch securely in place, anyway up.
