The rod weighs 18. 8 ounces on my scale. This magnificent rod has seen minimal use. There is some darkening of the grip and some cosmetic cracking at the ferrule wraps but almost no brassing anywhere, not to the bronze snakes or the ferrules. Superb ferrule fits and the rod is as straight as the day it left the Payne shop. This rod dates
